P2000 Expansion
Project

Expanding scale to unlock long-term value

We are progressing P2000, the next potential major expansion of our Pilgangoora Operation in Western Australia.

P2000 is being assessed as a brownfield expansion that could increase Pilgangoora’s spodumene concentrate production capacity to approximately 2.0 million tonnes per annum.

Scaling a
tier one asset

P2000 would build on our staged growth at the Pilgangoora Operation and help unlock further value from our Ore Reserve.

The Feasibility Study is assessing technical, environmental, regulatory, market and financial requirements for the potential expansion.

Subject to a positive final investment decision, P2000 would represent the next major phase of growth at Pilgangoora.

Feasibility Study progress
and next steps

The P2000 Feasibility Study is due for completion in the December Quarter 2026.

In June 2026, we approved ~$175 million in pre-final investment decision (pre-FID) capital expenditure to progress early work on the project's critical path.

This is a disciplined investment designed to preserve optionality and maintain project momentum while the feasibility study continues.

This work includes:

  • Engineering and long lead equipment procurement

  • Early site works and infrastructure

  • Regional logistics and access road upgrades

Any final investment decision will remain subject to positive study outcomes, funding capacity and market conditions.

Subject to a positive final investment decision, P2000 is expected to target first ore in mid 2029.

Creating
shared value

If the P2000 Expansion Project progresses, it’s expected to create new jobs during construction and operation, as well as new contracting opportunities for local businesses.

  • 1000+ construction jobs

  • 500 ongoing operational roles

  • $1.2B+ investment

We will continue to share information about potential opportunities for local businesses as the P2000 Expansion Project progresses. Pilbara-based businesses are encouraged to register for the Pilbara Local Business Register.

The first Expression of Interest for the P2000 Expansion Project opened in April 2026. Work will include a range of packages across the dry plant, wet plant and supporting utilities.

Pre-Feasibility
Study outcomes

The Pre-Feasibility Study, released in June 2024, outlined a pathway to expand production capacity to more than 2 million tonnes per annum at the Pilgangoora Operation.

The Feasibility Study now underway is refining this pathway before any decision to proceed.
