The Pilgangoora Operation is our flagship hard rock lithium asset, located approximately 140 kilometres south-east of Port Hedland in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, on Nyamal and Kariyarra Country.

spodumene concentrate

Following completion of the P1000 Expansion Project in 2025, Pilgangoora has the capacity to produce up to one million tonnes of spodumene concentrate per annum.

Located in a premier mining jurisdiction, the operation benefits from established infrastructure, including road and port access, and operates under robust environmental, safety and social standards. Product is exported from Port Hedland to leading lithium chemical converters, supporting global electrification and energy storage demand.

Geology and
exploration

Pilgangoora hosts one of the world’s largest hard rock lithium deposits and forms part of a highly prospective pegmatite province.

We have a consolidated tenure position across the Pilgangoora pegmatite district and surrounding regions, supporting long-term resource growth through ongoing exploration and drilling programs.

At Pilgangoora, we focus on operational excellence, environmental management and ethical business practices that support long-term value creation. In FY25, we achieved a 7.1% reduction in absolute scope 1 and 2 emissions at our Pilgangoora Operation, compared to FY24.

Advancing the energy
transition at Pilgangoora

We are implementing a staged Power Strategy to reduce emissions intensity, improve energy reliability and lower operating costs.

The strategy transitions the operation from diesel toward natural gas, on-site solar generation and battery energy storage. These initiatives are expected to materially reduce power-related emissions this decade while strengthening long-term energy resilience.

Lynas Find Project

The Lynas Find Project involves the development of a small-scale mining operation, including an open pit, waste rock landform and associated infrastructure, located approximately 80 kilometres south-east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Unlocking the full potential
of Pilgangoora

P2000 Pilgangoora Expansion Feasibility Study

We are assessing the potential to increase production capacity at the Pilgangoora Operation to two million tonnes per annum through the P2000 Expansion Feasibility Study.

The study is progressing with a focus on disciplined capital allocation, regulatory approvals and in line with market conditions. Any investment decision will be subject to study outcomes and the prevailing lithium market.

Mid-Stream Demonstration Plant Project

The Mid-Stream Demonstration Plant aims to establish the world’s first industrial-scale electric spodumene calciner.

The Demonstration Plant has the potential to reduce emissions intensity, lower transport requirements and create additional value at the mine site, supporting downstream processing and innovation in Australia.
