Minimising impacts and protecting environmental quality

We manage pollution risks across our global lithium operations to protect air, land and surrounding ecosystems. Our priority is the prevention of pollution and the reduction of disturbances such as dust, noise and vibration associated with mining and processing activities.

These efforts are supported by technical controls and rigorous monitoring to ensure operational scale does not compromise environmental quality.

Our approach

Pollution risks are managed through our environmental management and risk management frameworks, with oversight by the Board and implementation by site and operational teams across our lithium production activities.

Environmental management systems, monitoring programs and inspections support identification, assessment and mitigation of pollution risks across air emissions, land disturbance and operational impacts. Regulatory reporting and internal assurance processes are used to verify compliance with licence conditions and internal standards.

Managing and monitoring lithium mining emissions

We implement site‑specific operational controls to minimise emissions and disturbance, including dust suppression measures, emissions management systems and noise and vibration controls.

We monitor environmental performance across key indicators, including air quality and particulate matter, to assess the effectiveness of controls and identify opportunities to reduce emissions and improve overall environmental footprint.

Our performance

We track environmental performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities and maintain responsible production standards.

Monitoring air quality, dust and land impacts ensures we remain accountable to stakeholders while reducing our overall carbon footprint.
